Army Issues Draft Solicitation for RFID-III

The Army has issued a draft solicitation for Radio Frequency Identification (RFID)-III to provide commercially available state-of-the-art, common, integrated structure for logistic tracking, locating, and health monitoring of commodities and assets of the Defense Department. Since Defense Department components have shared RFID technology with Allied partners in joint operations, the RFID-III contract will be available for orders to meet Foreign Military Sales requirements in order to provide interoperability for logistics support.
