Army Awards ICx $6.8M to Supply Fido to Afghan Forces

The U.S. Army has awarded ICx Technologies [ICXT] a $6.8 million contract to provide Fido XTi explosives detection systems for use by the Afghan National Army and Afghan National Police. Shipments of units began at the end of June. The contract also includes in-country training and support services. The Fido XTi is the international version of the combat proven Fido XT. The XTi features a modified user interface, weighs less than three pounds, and provides trace detection of explosive materials…
