Air Force Set For Thursday’s GPS IIF-5 Launch

The Air Force is going through final preparations for Thursday’s Global Positioning System (GPS) IIF-5 launch from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, Fla., according a statement from launch provider United Launch Alliance (ULA). The 19-minute launch window opens at 8:40 p.m. EST. Launch will take place on a Delta IV medium rocket provided by ULA, a joint venture of Lockheed Martin [LMT] and Boeing [BA].
