USAF Awards Boeing Nearly $2.4 Billion KC-46A Contract

The U.S. Air Force has awarded Boeing [BA] a nearly $2.4 billion contract for 15 KC-46A Pegasus tankers in Lot 11 of the buy, the Pentagon said in its contracts announcements on Thursday. On Nov. 4, the Boeing machinists union announced the end of a 53-day strike several weeks after the company released preliminary third quarter financial results with Boeing's defense segment taking a $2 billion charge related to continued cost overruns on certain fixed-price development contracts and the impacts…
