The next iteration of the Pentagon’s Replicator initiative to rapidly field new technology will focus on capabilities for defeating small drone threats, Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin has confirmed. In a new memo, Austin said the Pentagon will include “Replicator 2” plans in its fiscal year 2026 budget request to get after proliferating counter-small UAS systems (C-sUAS), with an aim to deliver capabilities within 24 months of receiving funds. “The department has been clear about applying Replicator's focus to other capability…
