PAC-3 Interceptor Scores In German Test At White Sands

German Luftwaffe personnel successfully tested a Patriot Advanced Capability-3 (PAC-3) airdefense interceptor at White Sands Missile Range, N.M., Lockheed Martin [LMT] announced yesterday. Aided by Lockheed and Army support, the German personnel fired a PAC-3 Missile from a German Patriot fire unit with Configuration-3 upgrades. The test demonstrated the Patriot Configuration-3 upgrades to the German ground system, which includes the PAC-3 Missile Segment launcher electronics and the fire solution computer needed to launch PAC-3 Missiles.
