Northrop Grumman To Acquire Geospatial Solutions Provider

Northrop Grumman [NOC] recently said it has agreed to acquire 3001 International, Inc., a provider of geospatial data solutions for domestic and international government intelligence, defense and civilian customers. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. 3001, which is based in Northern Virginia, has about 300 employees. Once the transaction closes, which is expected during the fourth quarter of 2008, 3001 will become part of Northrop Grumman's Information Technology sector. Northrop Grumman said the acquisition complements its current geospatial business.…
