More Deadly EMS and TV Chopper Crashes

An emergency medical services (EMS) helicopter carrying a patient crashed and burned in a suburban Chicago forest preserve Oct. 15, killing all four aboard. The latest fatal EMS chopper crash followed by only two days the loss of a news gathering helicopter in Houston. NTSB investigators will determine whether the Bell 222 EMS chopper clipped a radio tower. The crash was one of nine fatal EMS helicopter crashes in the U.S. in the past 12 months, resulting in 35 fatalities.…
