Marinette Marine Protests Coast Guard’s FRC Award To Bollinger

By Calvin Biesecker Shipbuilder Marinette Marine on Tuesday protested the Coast Guard's potential $1.5 billion award to Bollinger Shipyards to design and construct the Fast Response Cutter (FRC) patrol boats. The protest was filed with the Government Accountability Office (GAO), which has until Jan. 15, 2009, to resolve the matter, according to information posted on the GAO's web site.
