Marines Seeking Info On Dismounted Small Drone Defeat Systems For ‘Emerging Urgent Requirement’

The Marine Corps is seeking industry’s input on dismounted capabilities to detect and take out small drone threats that could meet “an emerging urgent requirement.” A new Request for Information (RFI) notice published on Monday details the service’s interest in lightweight counter-small unmanned aircraft system (C-sUAS) technologies that could be provided to support “every” Marines’ ability to defeat Group 1 and 2 drones, with plans to hold an industry day for demonstrations in September. “With the proliferation of UAS as…
