ManTech International Corporation [MANT] said last week that it was awarded a prime contract worth a potential $160 million to provide system engineering and integration services to support current and future space launch operations for the Air Force Launch and Range Systems Wing (LRSW).

“This award reflects a lot of hard work by our employees in providing valued, cost effective services for our nation’s space launch capabilities,” said Greg Roman, Senior Vice President, Space and ISR Services, ManTech Systems Engineering and Advanced Technology group.

The competitively awarded contract, a new award for ManTech, has an initial value of $15,665,703, and includes option periods for extended contract performance up to 10 years that bring the total value of the contract to $160M.

ManTech will provide system engineering and integration services in support of the LRSW Evolved Expendable Launch Vehicle (EELV) program to include enterprise integration of launch and range programs, interfaces with both the EELV and any future LRSW launch systems, and support to the Launch and Test Range System. Technical support to be provided by ManTech includes systems engineering and integration, mission integration management, systems safety engineering, systems environmental engineering, systems security and information assurance, product assurance, launch schedule management and launch risk management.

“Our previous work in this area, coupled with new initiatives and offerings, was instrumental in winning this award,” Roman said. “ManTech is proud of its long-term space launch heritage and our successful partnership with Space and Missile Systems Center/LRSW, 30th and 45th Space Wings. We look forward to assisting LRSW in achieving all of its near-term priority operational objectives and maintaining its focus on mission success.”
