The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Science and Technology (S&T) Directorate has awarded Implant Sciences Corp. [IMX] a 13-month, $750,000 Phase II Small Business Innovation Research contract for the delivery of a prototype handheld trace explosives sampler. Earlier this year S&T awarded Implant a Phase I SBIR contract to help with development of the Handheld Sampler.
