IBM Joins Lockheed Martin NGI Team; Protest Dropped

IBM [IBM] has joined the Lockheed Martin [LMT] team that earlier this year won the FBI's $1 billion program to develop and implement the multi-modal biometric Next Generation Identification (NGI) system, the companies announced on Friday. With the teaming arrangement, IBM, which was one of the losing bidders for the NGI award, has dropped its protest of the FBI's decision.
