House GOP Seeks DHS Cuts

House appropriators want to cut Coast Guard funding below current levels and give the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) less science and technology funding than it requested. The House Appropriations Homeland Security subcommittee (HAC-HS) will mark up its version of the fiscal year 2014 DHS appropriations bill Thursday.
