General Dynamics To Upgrade More M1 Abrams To M1A2 SEPv2

The Army TACOM Life Cycle Management Command has awarded General Dynamics Land Systems, a business unit of General Dynamics [GD], a multi-year, $81 million contract to upgrade 30 M1 Abram tanks to the M1A2 Systems Enhancement Package Version 2 (SEPv2) configuration. General Dynamics has converted approximately 1,620 tanks, a company spokesman said. Currently, 492 tanks are contracted for improved SEP reset, with 323 of them funded.
