GAO Denies Beechcraft Protest Of Light Air Support Award To Sierra Nevada

The Government Accountability Office (GAO) yesterday denied Beechcraft’s protest of the Air Force’s $427 million Light Air Support (LAS) contract award to Sierra Nevada Defense Corp. (SNC) LAS is an Air Force effort to provide 20 light attack aircraft to Afghanistan’s nascent air force. SNC contracted with Brazilian manufacturer Embraer [ERJ] to deliver its A-29 Super Tucanos.
