Fiscal Pressures To Stretch Army GCV Technology Development By Six Months

Anticipating fiscal pressures over fiscal years 2014-2018, the Pentagon’s top acquisition official has extended by six months the Technology Development (TD) phase for the Ground Combat Vehicle Infantry Fighting Vehicle program being executed by teams led by General Dynamics [GD] and BAE Systems. “The combination of fiscal pressures and the need for additional development time led to this restructured program,” the Jan. 17 memo said.
