CBP Releases Solicitation For NII Anomaly Detection Algorithms

Customs and Border Protection (CBP) this month released a solicitation for anomaly detection algorithms (ADA) under a pilot program to quickly obtain the technology for use with its large-scale non-intrusive inspection (NII) systems that scan cargo and passenger vehicles for potential threats and contraband. The ADAs would reduce the time it takes for an operator to examine the contents of a vehicle or cargo conveyance thereby increasing throughput, and reduce the number of officer hours needed for NII examinations.
