The Coast Guard is proposing to further delay the date for when facilities that handle certain dangerous cargoes in bulk will have to implement reader requirements for the Transportation Worker Identification Credential. The current rule requires these facilities begin using the readers by May 8, 2023 and the proposed date is May 8, 2026.
