Air Force Successfully Launches NROL-65 Satellite

The Air Force on Aug. 28 successfully launched the National Reconnaissance Office’s (NRO) NROL-65 satellite around 2:08 p.m. EST from Vandenberg AFB, Calif. The launch took place on one of United Launch Alliance’s (ULA) Delta IV heavy rockets. NROL-65 was ULA’s eighth launch in 2013 and the company’s 74th overall, according to ULA.
