AARP Files Lawsuit Alleging Age Discrimination In Hiring At RTX

The charitable group affiliated with AARP on Tuesday filed a lawsuit alleging RTX [RTX] discriminated against older workers in hiring. The AARP Foundation claims RTX’s hiring practices “exclusively” targeted recent or new college graduates over potentially qualified older workers. The 59-page lawsuit says this hiring practice “intentionally and effectively excludes nearly all older workers from qualifying for, competing for, and obtaining many jobs at Raytheon,” adding that the company “routinely publishes job postings for numerous jobs where the only basic…
