The third Wideband Global Satcom (WGS) satellite is undergoing extensive tests, The Boeing Co. [BA] announced. Those tests in a thermal-vacuum chamber were completed in record time, Boeing stated, thanks to improved testing efficiency. Boeing is building six WGS satellites for the Air Force; the first was put into operation in April.
