Northrop Grumman's [NOC] land based MQ-8B Fire Scout Vertical Unmanned Aircraft System (VUAS), designated P7, successfully completed first flight operations at Yuma Proving Ground, Ariz., paving the way for a busy summer and fall, according to a company official. In late July, the one system compatible ground control station, similar to what the Army uses, will be brought in.
