Minuteman III Test Launch Scheduled For Today

An unarmed operational test of the Minuteman III ICBM is scheduled for today from Vandenberg AFB, Calif. The missile's single vehicle is expected to travel approximately 4,200 miles to a target near the Kwajalein Atoll in the Marshall Islands.
