Lockheed Martin Will Not Protest MDA GMD Award to Boeing

Lockheed Martin [LMT] recently said it will not protest the Missile Defense Agency Award to Boeing [BA] Dec. 30 for Development and Sustainment of the Ground-based Midcourse Defense element of the ballistic missile defense system (BMDS). Lockheed Martin teamed with Raytheon [RTN] in competing for the seven-year, $3.4 billion contract. Boeing, the incumbent, had done the work since 2001. After an agency debriefing Jan. 11, the company considered its options and said it did not intend to protest the award.…
