L-3 Communications [LLL] on Monday said it has reinstated the name of its Mississippi-based aircraft sustainment and support business to Vertex Aerospace, which the company acquired in 2003 for $650 million to significantly expand its work supporting the Defense Department and other federal agencies in modernizing and upgrading aviation assets and other systems.L-3 said using the Vertex name again reinforces the business’s focus on “quality and customer service.”“The L-3 Vertex Aerospace name stands for our legacy of delivering sophisticated and…
