Inmarsat Wins Renewal of Navy Satellite Service Contract

The Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) has awarded Inmarsat Government a satellite broadband contract to serve the Navy worth up to $980 million over a 10-year period, the company said on Tuesday. The Navy Commercial Broadband Satellite Program (CBSP) Satellite Services Contract (CSSC II) covers end-to-end commercial satellite communications services. It is an indefinite-delivery, indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract. The CSSC II program is the follow-on to the CSSC contract where Inmarsat Government was the prime contractor.
