Guard Troops, Dozens Of Aircraft Deployed To Fight West Coast Wildfires

At least 1,500 National Guard troops with more than two-dozen aircraft have deployed to fight the wildfires raging through Northern California and the Pacific Northwest.The largest of several wildfire burning in California, the Mendocino Complex fire, has charred more than 300,000 acres, or 469 square miles, an area similar in size the Los Angeles, according to the state Department of Forestry.
