European Spacecraft XMM-Newton Probes Dense, Dead, Spinning Star

A European spacecraft, XMM-Newton, has discovered the spin-rate of a dense, dead star, the core that remains after a stellar explosion, the European Space Agency reported. XMM-Newton caught the fading glow of a tiny celestial object, revealing its rotation rate for the first time.
