EU Adds to Airline Safety Blacklist

The European Commission (EC) has banned all eight airlines operating from the West African nation of Benin from flying to Europe because of their poor safety record. The EC also added six carriers from Kazakhstan and one each from Thailand (One Two Go Airlines) and Ukraine (Motor Sich Airlines) to its list. The new blacklist contains 194 airlines, mostly from Africa, that have been deemed by the EC not to meet international safety standards. The last blacklist update came out…
