DNDO Issues RFI for PVT RPM Improvements

The Domestic Nuclear Detection Office (DNDO) has issued a Request for Information (RFI) seeking technical responses to determine if viable concepts exist for improving current generation Radiation Portal Monitors that are based on Polyvinyl Toluene (PVT) detectors. Responses are sought in two technical areas, with the first being investigating algorithms, such as Energy Windowing, that might increase Special Nuclear Material (SNM) radiation detection and Naturally Occurring Radioactive Materials (NORM) rejection capabilities.
