ManTech Nabs $44M DoD Award to Maintain Biometrics Software
ManTech International [MANT] has received a potential two-year, $44.5 million contract to provide operational and user maintenance and software maintenance support for hardware and software that are used for biometrics collection, storage, matching, and analysis in a forward operating environment. The support will be for the Product Manager Joint Personnel Identification Quick Reaction Sustainment. The contract has a one-year base period and one one-year option.
MorphoTrak to Provide LiveScan Jumpkits to CBP
Safran Group’s MorphoTrak says it will provide Customs and Border Protection (CBP) with 50 ruggedized LiveScan portable jumpkits for use in biometric enrollment and screening. The kits include MorpoTop fingerprint scanner, a travel document machine readable zone reader, face capture camera, ruggedized laptop, and rechargeable battery all packed in a secure, watertight carrying case. The company says that CBP will use the jumpkits at U.S. borders to capture fingerprint and face images from visitors the U.S., and enroll them in a database as current visitors. The biometrics can also be searched against selected databases. MorphoTrak is partnering with solutions integrator SNAP, Inc. on the project. “Initially we viewed the partnership with MorphoTrak as a path to incorporate their solutions into our service offerings,” says Navneet Gupta, president of SNAP. “Now, with in-depth exposure to MorphoTrak during the course of implementation of a project, we believe that MorphoTrak’s biometric solutions are well suited to support our goals and the missions of multiple agencies under DHS, DoD and other federal agencies.”
MDA Awards nou Systems $7M for Cyber Security Engineering Services
The Missile Defense Agency (MDA) has awarded Alabama-based nou Systems, Inc. a potential five-year, $6.7 million contract for cyber security engineering services. The award was made under the Technical, Engineering, Advisory, and Management Support acquisition. Under the award to nou Systems, support is required to influence changes in the Ballistic Missile Defense Systems engineering process in response to evolving cyber threats and trends to the mission systems based on validated intelligence reporting, and to assess impact to MDA processes and mechanisms. The award has a two-year base and three one-year options.
TSA Awards eGlobalTech Enterprise Architecture Support Services Contract
eGlobalTech has received a contract from the Transportation Security Administration to provide enterprise architecture services to the agency’s Office of Information Technology. The value of the award was not disclosed.
Cobham to Supply Circuits for Aviation Screening Solutions
Britain’s Cobham has received $1.6 million in orders to provide application specific integrated circuits (ASIC) to the security screening industry. “Our design engineering experience and heritage reduces technical risk while our extensive ASIC experience, intellectual property, and design libraries allow for first-pass success, thereby improving our customers’ time-to-market,” says Jeff Hassannia, senior vice president of Business Development and Technology for Cobham Advanced Electronic Solutions. The company provides custom mixed-signal ASICs for commercial, industrial, telecommunications, medical, military, and space applications.
