Rockwell Collins [COL] yesterday posted a solid end to its 2008 fiscal year led by its commercial business that serves the aerospace market and to a lesser extent its military business. Net income in the fourth quarter increased 17 percent to $182 million, $1.13 earnings per share (EPS), from $156 million (96 cents EPS) a year ago, beating analysts' expectations by six cents.
