MARINE CORPS BASE QUANTICO, Va. -- The Navy’s CH-53 Sea Stallions will soon be outfitted with a door mounted next generation of heavy machine guns called the GAU-21, the gun’s manufacturer said at the Modern Day Marine show. Mark Cherps, the vice president of military operations at FNH USA, said the GAU-21s will be installed on both side exits of the CH-53s in the near future. The guns have already been installed on the rear ramps of the massive helicopters.…
