Canada Moves To Increase Airlift, Add UAVs

The Canadian government plans to add helicopters for airlift capacity and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) for intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance assets. The measures were announced Aug. 5 by Minister of National Defence and Minister of the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency Peter Gordon MacKay, and Christian Paradis, Minister of Public Works and Government Services Canada and Secretary of State for Agriculture.
