Navy to Evaluate RIIDs The Naval Surface Warfare Center says it plans to award a contract to provide three state-of-the-art portable Radioisotope Identification Devices (RIIDs) from three different vendors for test and evaluation. The Navy says it needs reliable radiation monitoring, identification and search instruments to ensure the radiological safety of its personnel.
