BAE Systems To Produce Head Mounted Displays For Army

BAE Systems yesterday said it has received a $21.7 million indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity order for Head Mounted Displays (HMDs) from the Army Program Executive Office Soldier. The HMD, also known by its company product name Remote Eyepiece Display Imager, or RED-I®, is compatible with military night sensors such as thermal weapon sights, and can support a variety of mission requirements by providing the user with an easy configurable private viewing display that can mount to eyeglass frames or fit under visors.…
