Army Plans New Contract For Gray Eagle UAS Software Upgrades

The Army recently said it anticipates issuing a new cost-plus-incentive-fee (CPIF) contract to General Atomics Aeronautical Systems Inc. (GA-ASI) for pre-planned software improvements so additional payloads can be integrated on the Gray Eagle Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) platform. These improvements will require design, development, fabrication, integration, and testing for MQ-1C Gray Eagle UAS Pre-Planned Product Improvement (P3I) Blocks 2-4, which include spare parts and consumables.
