Army Orders 11 New Boeing Chinook Helicopters

The Army awarded Boeing [BA] $280.5 million for 11 new CH-47 Chinook helicopters, increasing the number of new Chinooks on contract to 59, the company said last month. "This new contract award represents a long-term commitment to supporting our warfighters," Ken Eland, Boeing CH-47F program director, said in a Feb. 27 statement.
