Air Force Academy Selects Cirrus SR20 For Airmanship Training Program

The Air Force Academy has selected the Cirrus Aircraft SR20 single-engine turboprop for its Powered Flight Program to meet airmanship training requirements. The Air Force has awarded Cirrus a $6.1 million contract to deliver 25 SR20 aircraft beginning this summer and continuing through 2012. The trainer aircraft will be designated the T-53A.
