
The Army has awarded AeroVironment [AVAV] a nearly $1 billion contract for the company to provide “an organic, stand-off capability to dismounted infantry formations.” Work on the deal is expected to be completed by late August 2029, the Pentagon said on Tuesday, with AeroVironment as the sole bidder for the work.
