Teledyne Technologies [TDY] on Friday said it has agreed to acquire CARIS, a developer and supplier of software for marine geospatial information used by private and public sector organizations internationally.Terms of the deal, which is expected to close in the second quarter of 2016, were not disclosed.Teledyne said that about 90 percent of the world’s hydrographic offices use CARIS in their workflow and that the Canada-based firm offers the most comprehensive solution for processing and visualizing sonar data, as well…
