The Israeli Ministry of Defense (IMOD) awarded Elbit Systems [ESLT] a $90 million contract for the maintenance of the Israeli Air Force's (IAF) F-16 avionics systems, the company said on Jan. 4.The maintenance project is to be performed over 11 years and is to include a new national maintenance center for IAF squadrons and bases, the company noted."Elbit Systems has recognized the growing global trend of maintenance and logistic support services performed via outsourcing.
