CBP Awards Leidos, OSI Systems, Smiths Detection Contracts for Rail Inspection Systems

Customs and Border Protection this month awarded Leidos [LDOS], OSI Systems [OSIS], and Smiths Detection contracts to provide high-energy non-intrusive inspection (NII) systems for scanning of rail cars entering the U.S. Each company was awarded a contract for four of their respective systems and the chance to compete for upwards of $379 million in high-energy NII systems during the next five years.
