Canada Issues RFI For New 12 Boat Sub Fleet

Canada’s Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC) department recently issued a Request For Information (RFI) seeking information spurred by questions about its upcoming new submarine program. The government is looking to replace its aging four-boat Victoria-class diesel-electric submarines that are set to be decommissioned in the mid-2030s with a new Canadian Patrol Submarine Project (CPSP) of up to 12 vessels that are capable of operating under sea ice.
