CACI International [CACI] has agreed to acquire a small information technology (IT) firm with expertise in cyber security and application development that also has customers in the intelligence community. Terms of the deal, which is expected to close by July 1, were not disclosed. Pangia Technologies had $18.7 million in sales in 2010 and CACI expects the deal to be accretive to its earnings per share within one year of closing. “The acquisition of Pangia Technologies opens new growth opportunities for CACI and increases our technical offerings in the vitally important area of cyber security,” says Paul Cofoni, president and CEO of CACI. “Pangia’s technology and demonstrated success in solving some of the most difficult intelligence problems, combined with CACI’s significant presence in the intelligence community, will facilitate our expansion into emerging mission areas that are essential to national security.” In addition to the intelligence community, Pangia has contract vehicles with the Department of Homeland Security, the Air Force and Navy. Maryland-based Pangia has 110 employees.
