Air Force Awards Raytheon 3DELRR Contract

The Air Force on Monday awarded Raytheon [RTN] the widely-anticipated contract for its future air defense radar known as Three-Dimensional Expeditionary Long-Range Radar (3DELRR). Raytheon prevailed over Northrop Grumman [NOC] and Lockheed Martin [LMT], which also bid for the contract. Raytheon received Monday a $19.5 million fixed-price-incentive-firm contract for the initial engineering and manufacturing development (EMD) phase of the program.
