The Obama administration is reforming the background investigation organizational and security structure as a result of the 90-Day Suitability and Security Review, to examine reforms in the federal background investigations process, the White House said Jan. 22.The government will establish a new government-wide service provider for background investigations to absorb and replace elements of the U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM) that conduct investigations currently.
