
The State Department on Monday evening said that it has updated U.S. export policy so that review of requests to sell unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) for military use on international markets will proceed similar to requests for the export of manned fighter aircraft. “By treating arms transfer reviews of UAS in a similar manner to manned fighter aircraft, the Department will be able to more efficiently adjudicate foreign defense sales requests, opening new markets for the U.S. UAS industry,” the…
