Oshkosh Snags $1 Billion Order For 2,244 New M-ATVs

[OSK] beat four competitors for the first order for new Mine Resistant Ambush Protected All-Terrain Vehicles (M-ATVs) designed for Afghanistan's terrain, though the Pentagon still plans to buy thousands more. The Oshkosh, Wis., truck builder received a $1.05 billion order for 2,244 M-ATVs from the Army's Tank-Automotive and Armaments Command (TACOM), the Pentagon said last night in a contract announcement.
